Pick a topic, or select an area in View, and Vinc packs just that slice into a portable file. Send it to anyone and it folds straight into their map. Your pins and tags stay private.

Making a pack
- Press Share in the top bar.
- Pick one topic, or select an area directly on the map.
- Use Preview and save to check what goes in, then save it as a
.vincpackfile.
Publishing to the community
Instead of passing a file around, you can put it in the community gallery. Publishing happens in the web app's Packs screen and needs an account.
- Write a description when you publish. It appears on the gallery card and in the import confirmation, so say what the pack is here.
- Your username is attached to the post. If you have not picked one, you are asked at publish time. This is the only place a public handle is required.
- Packs you published are listed on your account page, and you can take one down at any time.
Importing someone else's pack
In the gallery, clicking a card or its Import button opens a confirmation. It shows concepts, links, the cross-topic share, size, the publisher, and their description, so you can decide before anything happens.
- Confirming merges the pack into your account graph. There is no step where you download a file and drop it back into the app.
- It does not overwrite. Concepts you already have are matched rather than duplicated, which is why importing the same pack again is safe.
- Concept ids already owned by someone else are skipped quietly. The result screen lists them under Skipped.
- Large packs can take up to a minute. If it is interrupted, importing again continues from where it stopped.
Using packs as a backup
Saving everything as one pack lets you restore it on a new device. This is different from account sync: sync uploads only the topics you chose, while a backup pack carries the lot in a single file.
