Just the vinc command, for servers. See the CLI docs.

Checksums are signed. Each release lists every file in SHA256SUMS, signed with minisign, and the public key sits beside it on the release page. The CLI docs show how to check a download.

No telemetry. The app sends no usage data. It checks GitHub for updates when it starts, and in local mode your graph stays in one folder you pick.

First launch

Vinc isn't code-signed yet, so your system may warn the first time you open it. It's safe. Here's how.

macOS

  1. Drag Vinc into Applications, then try to open it.
  2. If it's blocked, open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  3. Next to the Vinc message, click Open Anyway, or right-click the app and choose Open.

Windows

  1. Run the installer. SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC".
  2. Click More info.
  3. Click Run anyway.

Linux

Make the AppImage executable and open it, or install the deb as a package.

chmod +x Vinc-amd64.AppImage && ./Vinc-amd64.AppImage
sudo apt install ./Vinc-amd64.deb

The deb adds Vinc (vinc-app) to your application menu and the vinc command to your PATH. See Linux install steps.
