See your map.

Every document becomes a point; every link, a line. Zoom from the whole field down to a single idea, then click a point to see what it connects to and trace a path from there.

• Node size grows with connections. Shape carries the type and never changes.
• Switch the viewpoint: 3D, 2D, Timeline or Weave.

The four viewpoints

• 3D: the whole shape at once. You can see where it is dense and where it is empty.
• 2D: the same map without a camera to fly. Click a line that carries an arrow and the evidence panel shows the sentence the relationship came from. Lines with no direction are inert, and a line click in 3D does nothing.
• Timeline: what arrived when. Click a period and the documents from that stretch open.
• Weave: every point sits on one ring and the relations are drawn as curved lines across the middle, gathered into strands where they share a topic. Click a leaf and the ring turns until it rests at three o'clock, where its name reads straight.

Reading the map

• Point size is the number of connections. Bigger means it touches more.
• Point shape is the type: a circle for a concept, a triangle for a document, a diamond for a bridge, a shell around a topic. Shape and the focus color are fixed, so a pack you share reads the same on anyone else's screen. Tinting points by topic is a switch in the lens panel, and it is emphasis rather than meaning.
• Points that cross topics are gateways, drawn as an outline instead of a filled mark. They join separate fields, which usually makes them the interesting ones, and clicking one moves you into that topic.

What you can do

• Click a point to open its detail: what it connects to, how many, and which topic it belongs to.
• From that detail, Trace from here follows the paths leading out of that concept.
• Right-click a point in 3D or 2D for its menu: Open, Trace from here, Share from here, and Delete. Timeline and Weave have no menu of their own.
• The bar under the drawing counts your documents, the share of them that are linked, and the latest date. When something is not linked yet, that count is a button and it opens the list.
• Lens in the top bar opens two tabs. Options holds the rows the current viewpoint actually reads, so the list changes as you switch. Legend names every shape and every kind of line, and on 3D and 2D each line row is a switch: click it and that kind of relation leaves the drawing.
