Terms
The rules for the website, the optional web account and the hosted connector. The desktop app is open source and covered by its licence.

Working draft, published for transparency. It describes how the product actually works today; wording is being finalised. Questions: support@vincs.io.
What these terms cover
They cover vincs.io, the optional web account, the hosted connector at mcp.vincs.io, and Community at vincs.io/community. Using any of them means you accept these terms. If you do not, do not use them. The desktop app signs in to the same account, so its use of the account is covered too.
The desktop app
The app is open source under the MIT Licence, and that licence governs it, not this page. The account it signs in to is covered by these terms; the code is not. Nothing here takes away a right the MIT Licence gives you.
Your account
- Sign-in is by emailed link or code, or with a Google account that uses the same email address. Keep access to that mailbox and that Google account: whoever controls either can sign in.
- One account is for one person. Connector keys are yours to protect, and you are responsible for what is done with them.
- You can delete your account yourself at vincs.io/account, which also erases the hosted graph. Privacy says exactly what that removes.
- We may suspend an account that is breaking these terms or putting the service at risk, and we will say why.
- You must be at least 14 years old to have an account.
- Writing in Community needs a public handle. It is shown on everything you publish there.
Your knowledge stays yours
What you put into Vinc is yours. We claim no ownership of it and do not use it to train models. We store and process it only to run the service for you: to serve it back, to index it for search, and to sync it to the devices and assistants you connect. That permission lasts while you keep the account and ends when you delete it.
This section covers your personal graph and the graphs of teams you belong to. What you publish in Community is different, and the Community section below says how: wiki page text is licensed to everyone under CC BY-SA 4.0 and stays after you delete your account.
Plans, limits and payment
- Personal Free: no charge, 2,000 tool calls a day. Local use through the desktop app has no limits at all.
- Team: paid per seat, monthly or yearly, 6,000 tool calls a day and one shared graph.
- Payment is handled by Paddle as reseller. Paddle is the seller of record, files and pays sales tax, and its own buyer terms apply to the transaction.
- Limits exist so one account cannot exhaust the service for everyone. If you pass one, calls are refused until the day rolls over. Nothing is deleted.
- Prices can change. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from your account. The plan runs to the end of the period you already paid for and then drops to Free. Cancelling does not delete your graph. Refunds are handled by Paddle under its buyer terms and any right of withdrawal your country gives you.
Teams
A team has one shared graph, and everyone also keeps their own personal graph. What a member adds to the shared graph belongs to the team, so it stays when that person leaves. Whoever creates a team is responsible for who is invited into it.
Community
Community is the public part of Vinc. Anyone can read it without an account. Anyone signed in with a public handle can create a community, edit its wiki pages, start talk threads, post in the lounge, react, and share agents and packs.
- Wiki pages. When you edit a wiki page, you license your contribution to everyone under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence (CC BY-SA 4.0). You confirm you have the right to do so. Attribution is given through the page history, which records each edit and its editor.
- Talk, lounge and comments. These stay yours. You let us show them publicly, keep them in the community's history and make them available through Vinc's search and connector (MCP) while they are published.
- Agents and packs you share. You pick the licence when you share; CC BY-SA 4.0 is the default. Everyone who takes a shared agent or pack may use it under that licence. Taking an agent never grants it any tool or permission in another product; that stays with the product that runs it.
- Edits through your assistant. If you connect an assistant with a key that can write, what it writes in Community is published under your handle and these terms, as if you had written it. The page history marks it as made through the connector.
- Community operators. The person who creates a community becomes its first operator and can lock pages, remove talk or lounge content that breaks its rules, and change its rules page. Vinc can do the same in any community and has the final say.
- Taking content down is not recalling it. Removing or unlisting something stops us from showing it. It does not withdraw a CC BY-SA licence already granted, and it does not reach copies others already made.
- If you delete your account, your wiki page revisions stay in the page history, attributed to "deleted user" instead of your handle. Talk threads and lounge posts you started stay, together with the comments others wrote under them, but their title and text are cleared and the author is shown as "anonymous user". Your comments and reactions are deleted. Agents and packs you shared are withdrawn; versions others already took stay with them.
Reporting and takedown
If something in Community infringes your rights, breaks the law or breaks these terms, report it from the page (Report) or write to support@vincs.io with "Takedown" in the subject. Say what it is, where it is, and why. For a copyright claim, say that you hold the right or act for the person who does.
We may hide the content while we look at it. We tell the person who posted it and let them answer; if they show they had the right, we restore it. Accounts that repeatedly post infringing content are suspended. This procedure follows the online service provider rules of the Korean Copyright Act and does not limit your other legal remedies.
Acceptable use
Do not use Vinc to break the law, to store material you have no right to store, or to reach another member's graph. Do not try to get around the limits, and do not probe or disrupt the service. Security findings are welcome: Support says how to report one.
In Community, do not post personal information about someone else without their consent, impersonate anyone, post spam, or write instructions meant to make other people's assistants act against them. Wiki pages are read by assistants; text written to manipulate them is removed.
Availability and changes
The hosted service is provided as it is, with no promised uptime. We may change or withdraw parts of it. If we withdraw something you rely on, or change these terms in a way that matters to you, we will say so before it takes effect, and you can export your graph or delete the account.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the loss of information you kept no copy of. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. The desktop app keeps its information on your own device, and that is the copy you control.
Community content is written by its users. We do not check it in advance and do not vouch for it, and an assistant that reads it does so as data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea, and its courts have jurisdiction. This does not take away protections that the consumer law of the country you live in gives you.
