Sharing

Bundle part of your graph into one pack and send it out. A pack carries nodes, their links and the documents that mention those nodes. You see everything in the pack before it goes, and it goes only once you pick where.

Where sharing starts

Where you start depends on how you want to set the scope.

Choosing the scope

This is the Share tab in Settings. Choose a scope and press Continue to go on to the pack sheet below.

  1. Everything Bundles the whole graph.
  2. One topic Bundles only the nodes in the chosen topic. The demo has no topic list, so it is off.
  3. What I'm looking at Bundles the scope the View is showing right now. Open the View first to pick it.
  4. Create a full backup pack Downloads everything as one file, for moving to a new device or an MCP client.
  5. Continue Opens the pack sheet with the scope you chose.

In an account with team spaces you also pick which space the pack is made from. Pick another space and its pack comes into the space you are in. Moving things between your personal space and a team space happens here too.

Checking what leaves

Press Share on a node card and the Share as a pack sheet opens. Only what you see here leaves in the pack.

  1. Scope Shows where the bundle starts from.
  2. Counts Counts the concepts, records, decisions, links and documents that leave. All zeros means an empty pack, so pick the scope again.
  3. Included list The nodes that leave, with their topics. Untick one to leave it out, and the counts above drop with it.
  4. Share Moves on to choosing where it goes. The pack is still with you at this point.

You do not pick documents separately. The documents that mention the included nodes go along. Your pins, tags and usage stay with you and are not put in the pack.

Choosing where it goes

After Share, the same counts table shows the places it can go. The pack is the same; only the destination differs.

If the pack file is the only choice, it downloads without asking, as in the desktop app's personal space. Sending to a space shows a progress bar and then how many items landed. If it stops partway, what already landed stays, and sending again fills in the rest.

Receiving a pack

Bring in a pack you received with Import on Putting knowledge in. It merges into your graph; anything already there is updated in place and never duplicated.
