Other frameworks

Frameworks without a Vinc package connect to the Vinc MCP server directly. Each example below gives the agent read-only lookups.

Every example uses a read-only key (vinc_ro_) in VINC_API_KEY and keeps the tools to vinc_brief and vinc_search. For writing, add a separate connection with a write key behind an approval step.

CrewAI

Use MCPServerHTTP with Streamable HTTP and a tool filter. CrewAI does not fetch Vinc roles by itself; to set an agent's role from Vinc, read the role first (Agent frameworks) and put it in the agent's backstory or goal.

OpenAI Agents SDK

MCPServerStreamableHttp supports a tool filter and caches the tool list.

Other frameworks

Google ADK's McpToolset, Pydantic AI's MCP toolsets, the Vercel AI SDK's createMCPClient and Mastra's MCPClient all connect to the Vinc MCP address over HTTP. Follow each framework's guide to limit the tools and pass the key safely. The address and sign-in are on Connect over MCP.
